About Chris

Chris Pearson is a specialist in intellectual property, media and entertainment law.

hris works with clients ranging from large companies and substantial brand owners to individual professionals, entrepreneurs, artists and inventors. He has experience acting in high-profile litigation, technically complex cases and cases involving known personalities, as well as advising on non-contentious IP issues, drafting IP agreements or handling sensitive negotiations.
Chris’ expertise covers all areas of intellectual property, including copyright and related rights, unregistered design right, registered designs, registered trade marks, passing off, database right, patents, privacy, data protection, confidentiality, and all areas of media and entertainment law, including defamation, malicious falsehood, image rights, and rights in music, television and film.
Chris read mathematics at Durham University before studying law at the College of Law in Guildford and taking the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law in London. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1995 and the Bar of Northern Ireland in 1996.
