Chris has substantial experience working with the book publishing industry, advising and representing authors and publishers on the protection, exploitation, enforcement of rights in books. He has particular expertise in book plagiarism cases.
His practice includes both contentious and advisory work, from contract interpretation and negotiation to representation in litigation involving all manner of disputes relating to books, such as disputes over authorship, ownership and infringement of copyright and moral rights. He also advises on issues concerning adaptation rights for film, TV, stage and digital formats.
As a member of the Society of Authors, Chris has an excellent understanding of the publishing landscape and aims to provide clear, commercially-focused advice and representation tailored to your creative and legal needs.
